Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430, clear satin matt

About this product

Wooden decks and outdoor steps can become slippery when wet. Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430 is a clear, satin matt top coat based on natural oils with fine organic anti-slip particles. Once dry, these particles give a less slippery surface.

It is not a stand-alone finish: apply it as the final coat on wood first treated with a tinted oil, for example Osmo Decking Oil 006 Bangkirai, 004 Douglas fir or an Osmo exterior Oil Stain. It suits all common decking species (Bangkirai, Massaranduba, Garapa, larch, Douglas fir, spruce) and grooved, ribbed and especially smooth boards.

The finish stays microporous, is water repellent, does not crack or peel, and contains active ingredients that protect the coating against mould and algae. Always apply thinly: too thick a coat hinders the moisture exchange of the wood.

For maintenance, clean with Osmo Decking Cleaner 8025. Walkways that wear faster can be treated again locally over time, without sanding.

How to use it

• First apply a coat of tinted Osmo Decking Oil or exterior Oil Stain.
• The wood must be clean, dry and frost-free (max. 18 % moisture). Stir well, do not thin.
• Apply thinly with a brush or the Osmo decking brush (150 mm) along the grain and spread out well.
• Allow about 12 hours to dry with good ventilation.
• Renovation: one coat on the clean, dry surface is usually enough.
