About this product

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin 1101 (Blanke Was) is a clear, satin finish based on plant oils and waxes, in an extra-thin version. It therefore penetrates well into hard, dense and oily woods, where a standard hardwax-oil struggles to soak in.

The finish repels water and dirt, is hard-wearing and microporous, and resists wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water according to DIN 68861-1C. Like any oil, it slightly warms and deepens the wood colour (wet look).

Suitable for interior wood: panelling, furniture and wooden floors, and particularly suited to the clear treatment of extractive-rich hardwoods such as meranti, wenge and merbau. It can be brushed, wiped, dipped or sprayed (in an enclosed unit).

For floor maintenance, mop with Osmo Wisch-Fix (Wash and Care); clean furniture with Osmo Spray Cleaner.

How to use it

• The wood must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%). Remove old paint or lacquer completely.
• Sand: finish floors at P100-120, furniture at P120-180. Remove the dust thoroughly.
• Stir well, do not thin. Apply thinly along the grain with an Osmo flat brush or a lint-free cloth.
• Leave to soak in for 30 minutes and wipe off any excess; re-treat dry areas.
• Leave to dry for approx. 8-10 hours and apply a second coat the same way.
• Furniture: usually 1 coat; floors: 2 coats. For renovation, 1 coat is usually enough.
