About this product
Osmo Wood Wax Finish (Decorwas) is a transparent or opaque wood stain based on plant oils and waxes. It colours and protects wood in one product, repels water and dirt and stays microporous, so it will not crack or peel.
With 3111 White the wood takes on a soft white tone: with one coat the grain stays clearly visible (transparent), with two coats the white becomes more intense. The result is satin.
Wood Wax Finish is meant for interior wood: panelling, mouldings and beams, doors, furniture and children's toys, also on edge-glued panels, chipboard and MDF. On floors, use it as a coloured base coat: one coat at most, finished with Osmo Polyx-Oil Original 3040 White to prevent yellowing.
Clean furniture and other oiled surfaces with Osmo Spray Cleaner; mop floors with Osmo Wisch-Fix (Wash and Care).
How to use it
- The wood must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%). Remove old paint or lacquer completely.
- Sand, finishing furniture at P120-180. Remove the dust thoroughly.
- Stir well, do not thin. Apply very thinly along the grain with an Osmo flat brush, microfibre roller or applicator pad and spread well. For a subtler effect, apply thinly with a lint-free cloth and wipe off evenly within 20 minutes.
- Leave to dry for approx. 12 hours with good ventilation. For an intense white, apply a second thin coat.
- On floors, one coat at most, finished with Polyx-Oil Original 3040 White.
