About this product
Osmo Polyx-Oil Express (Hardwax-Olie Express) is the fast-drying hardwax-oil for professionals. It combines plant oils and waxes and is designed for two coats in one day. The result is a hard, hard-wearing floor that repels water and dirt, with a microporous finish that will not crack or peel.
The white transparent version 3340 gives the wood a light white veil and keeps light woods such as oak pale. Use 3340 White for the second coat as well, rather than a clear oil, to prevent yellowing.
Suitable for all indoor wooden floors (solid wood, planks, parquet, OSB, cork) and for furniture. Resists wine, beer, cola, tea, fruit juice, milk and water according to DIN 68861-1A. Combined with Osmo Hardener 6632 it dries even faster and is also suitable for the clear treatment of extractive-rich woods such as merbau or wenge and of fumed oak.
For routine cleaning, mop with a damp (not wet) mop and water with Osmo Wisch-Fix (Wash and Care). Worn spots and stubborn marks can be refreshed with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner 3029. When the floor becomes dull over time, apply a thin coat of Osmo Maintenance Oil, no sanding needed.
How to use it
- The wood must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%). Remove old paint or lacquer completely.
- Sand starting with a coarse grit; finish floors at P100-120, furniture at P120-180. Vacuum the dust thoroughly.
- Stir well, do not thin. Apply thinly along the grain with an Osmo flat brush, floor brush or microfibre roller and spread well within 5 minutes.
- Leave to dry for approx. 6-8 hours with good ventilation, then apply a second thin coat.
- Use 3340 White again for the second coat to prevent yellowing.
- When renovating an oiled surface, one coat on the clean, dry floor is usually enough.
