Osmo Paint Remover Gel 6611

About this product

If you want to completely retreat a deck or cladding, or switch to another colour, the old oil finish has to come off first. Osmo Paint Remover Gel is a ready-to-use, thick water-based stripper that evenly removes old decking oils and oil stains from (partly) weathered exterior wood.

Suitable for wooden decks, cladding, sheds, garden furniture and similar surfaces, both horizontal and vertical. Take care with veneer: it can come loose.

Residues of the gel can hinder drying and adhesion of a new finish, so rinse very thoroughly. After drying, neutralise and revive the wood with Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel. Then protect it again with, for example, Osmo Decking Oil, Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil or Osmo Exterior Oil Stain.

How to use it

• Sweep the surface and cover everything that must not be treated (plants, aluminium, zinc, varnished parts, light porous stone).
• Stir well, do not dilute. Always do a test area first.
• Apply about 200 ml per m² with a brush or the Osmo decking brush on the dry surface.
• Leave to act for about 60 minutes (no longer than necessary) and keep the surface moist meanwhile.
• Scrub with plenty of clean water along the grain. Check after drying and repeat if needed.
• After drying, neutralise with Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel and allow at least 48 hours before a new finish.
