About this product

Intensiv is a water-based two-component polyurethane floor lacquer by Blanchon, made for floors that take a lot of wear: shops, offices, schools, hallways, but just as well a busy living room or staircase. It resists abrasion and scratches very well, as well as household products such as alcohol, wine, coffee and tea.

The Ultra Naturel (Effet Nature) finish was developed to keep the original, untreated look of light wood species such as oak. The wood barely looks lacquered. Blanchon recommends this finish only on light-coloured wood.

The lacquer comes with its Aqua Pro hardener (9 parts lacquer to 1 part hardener). The product is low in odour and is not thinned.

For maintenance of this finish use only Blanchon Lagoon or Blanchon Cleaner Lisabril.

How to use it

  • Sand the floor to bare wood (grit 24 or 36, then 50 or 60, finish with 100 or 120) and vacuum thoroughly.
  • Shake component A well, add the hardener (1 part to 9 parts lacquer) and mix for 2 to 3 minutes. Use the mix within 90 minutes.
  • Apply 3 coats with a short-pile roller, or 2 coats on Blanchon Prim'Sealer.
  • Lightly abrade after the first coat (fine screen) and remove the dust. For this finish Blanchon advises sanding between every coat with grit 120 or 150.
  • Do not apply below 12 °C or above 85% relative humidity.
