About this product
Prim'Sealer is an odourless, water-based primer for parquet, applied before a Blanchon water-based lacquer such as Intensiv, Belmont, Sport, Blumor SD, Performer, Chambord SD or Initial. It is recommended to keep the natural tone of light wood: the colour with Prim'Sealer as first coat is the same as lacquer applied directly to the wood.
It can be used on all European wood species. For walnut Blanchon advises asking for advice first. After the primer, apply two coats of the chosen lacquer.
How to use it
- Sand the floor to bare wood and vacuum thoroughly; the wood must be dry (below 10% moisture).
- Shake well, do not thin. Do not apply below 12 °C or above 85% relative humidity.
- Apply one generous coat with a roller, or two crossed coats with a flat spatula.
- Within 24 hours apply two coats of the chosen water-based lacquer.
