About this product
On a lacquered (varnished) floor, polish gradually builds up a layer that holds dirt and becomes patchy. Ciranova Hard Floor Cleaner is a water-based cleaner that dissolves these old polish layers (Ciranova Hard Floor Polish and Unicare X-Matt), so you can start again on a clean lacquer surface.
The same cleaner, diluted further, works as a degreaser to remove stubborn stains and streaks from lacquered floors.
The product is strongly alkaline (pH 12): do not work too wet, do not let it dry on the floor and rinse well afterwards with clean water. A wooden floor must never stay wet.
After stripping, apply a fresh coat of polish for lacquered floors so the lacquer is protected again.
How to use it
- Remove all dust first.
- For stains and streaks: 1 part to 10 parts lukewarm water, clean with a mop, microfibre cloth or soft scrubbing brush, then wipe over with clean water.
- To strip polish: 1 part to 5 parts lukewarm water, apply with a soft scrubbing brush, mop or buffing machine, let it work for a while (do not let it dry) and pick up the dirt with a squeegee or mop.
- Then clean thoroughly with clean water and avoid excess water.
- Afterwards apply a fresh polish for lacquered floors.
