About this product
Oak and other woods with a high tannin content can get black stains, for example from contact with metal and moisture, such as a wet flower pot or a steel leg. Osmo Tannin Spot Remover 6602 is a specialised cleaner that removes such dark tannin stains and other marks.
Suitable for untreated and oiled wooden floors, worktops and furniture indoors, especially oak. Spray the product on the stain, let it work and wipe it off. Not suitable before a finish with water-based, PU or NC lacquer.
After treatment the spot is bare. So apply a suitable finish to the dry spot again, such as the Osmo Polyx-Oil (Hardwax-Oil) or Osmo Maintenance Oil used on the rest of the surface.
How to use it
- Remove dirt and dust. The product is ready to use, do not dilute. Test on an inconspicuous spot first.
- Spray evenly on the stain until the discoloration is fully covered.
- Leave to act for 30-45 minutes and wipe off with a lint-free cloth.
- Repeat if necessary, then wipe with clean water.
- Allow about 24-48 hours to dry and protect the spot again with maintenance oil or hardwax oil.
