About this product
Osmo Concrete Oil 610 is a transparent combination of natural oils and waxes for concrete and mineral surfaces indoors. It penetrates the surface and does not form a film. The concrete becomes water and dirt repellent and more stain resistant, and dusting from screeds and concrete is greatly reduced. The finish is satin matt.
Suitable for almost all types of concrete, artificial stone, screeds, natural stone (polished, honed or split) and unglazed tiles. Typical uses are floors and walls in kitchens and bathrooms, table tops, window sills and concrete worktops.
The oil deepens the colour of the surface (permanent wet look) and can slightly yellow white or very light surfaces. To avoid that, or to add a light tint, Concrete Oil can be mixed with about 5-10 % Osmo Oil Stain or Decorative Wax. Slip resistance may change; always make a test area first.
Glazed tiles, glass and ceramics absorb nothing and cannot be treated. Consumption depends heavily on how porous the surface is.
How to use it
- The surface must be absorbent, clean, dry and frost-free. Stir well, do not thin.
- Apply very thinly with a brush, pad or microfibre roller and spread out well.
- Remove excess (on large floors with a rubber squeegee and a single-disc machine with white pad) with a pad or lint-free cloth: no oil should remain on the surface.
- Allow 8-10 hours to dry with good ventilation.
- Apply the second coat very thinly as well and remove the excess again.
- Renovation: one coat on the cleaned surface is usually enough.
