About this product
Osmo Stone and Terracotta Oil 620 is a clear impregnation based on natural oils for open, absorbent stone. It penetrates the surface and does not form a film. The result is a satin matt stone that repels water and dirt and stains less easily. On screeds and concrete it also reduces dusting.
Suitable for natural stone with a polished, honed or split surface, artificial stone and terracotta, both outdoors (patios, steps) and indoors, for example floors and window sills in granite, limestone or slate. Non-absorbent materials such as glazed tiles, glass or ceramics cannot be treated.
The oil deepens the natural colour of the stone (permanent wet look) and can slightly yellow white or very light stone. Slip resistance may also change. Acid-sensitive stone such as marble stays acid-sensitive. Always make a test area first.
Consumption depends heavily on the surface: dense, polished stone absorbs much less, porous or split stone much more.
How to use it
- The surface must be absorbent, clean, dry and frost-free. Stir well, do not thin.
- Apply very thinly with a brush, pad or microfibre roller and spread out well.
- Remove excess with a pad or lint-free cloth: no oil should remain on the surface.
- Allow 8-10 hours to dry with good ventilation.
- Apply the second coat very thinly as well and remove the excess again.
- Renovation: one coat on the cleaned surface is usually enough.
