About this product
Rectavit 235 is a ready-to-use PVAc glue with high bonding strength, made for gluing the tongue and groove joints of floating floors, both solid wood and laminate. It is moisture resistant to class D3, so glued floating floors can also go into kitchens and bathrooms. Suitable for all wood species, tropical wood included, and for floors with underfloor heating.
You can also use it for ordinary wood joints (mortise and tenon, dowels, dovetails) and for bonding HPL sheets to chipboard, MDF or plywood.
The glue is white and dries clear. Wipe off fresh residue with a damp cloth.
How to use it
- Let the parquet acclimatise in the room (+15 °C to +25 °C, RH 45 to 55%). The subfloor must be dry, flat and dust-free.
- Apply a thin bead of glue in the groove only.
- Slide the boards together within 8 to 10 minutes and tap them home with a block.
- Wipe off residue straight away with a damp cloth.
- Leave at least 1.5 cm expansion gap all round. Walkable after approx. 2 hours.
