Ciranova Hardwaxoil Magic Black 8574, ultra matt

About this product

Hardwaxoil Magic is the modified floor oil from Belgian manufacturer Ciranova (Debal Coatings, Roeselare). It gives good filling, very good chemical and mechanical resistance and an ultra matt look that does not turn shiny. This version is pigmented in Black 8574, for a deep black floor.

Use it on sanded, planed or brushed wood, for floors, stairs and other interior woodwork. To raise the resistance further, you can optionally add 5% Hardener UA.

A coloured oil is always finished with a clear coat: Ciranova specifies Hardwaxoil Magic Satin or Hardwaxoil Titan for this. Always test the colour on an offcut first, as wood species, sanding grit and the amount applied all affect the result.

For maintenance afterwards, use Ciranova Parketzeep (floor soap) weekly and Ciranova Maintenance Oil from time to time.

How to use it

• Remove all old finish and dust off the floor (final sanding grit 100 to 120).
• Shake and stir well.
• Apply evenly with a buffing machine or brush, leave to penetrate for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Buff in the excess with a pad or cloth until the surface feels dry to the touch.
• Oak needs 2 coats; finish the coloured coat with clear Hardwaxoil Magic Satin or Hardwaxoil Titan.
• No water or maintenance products during the first 7 days.
