About this product

Hardwaxoil is the classic quick-drying floor oil from Belgian manufacturer Ciranova (Debal Coatings, Roeselare). It gives good filling, excellent wear resistance and good resistance to spills and scratches, with the typical look of a hardwax oil. Use it for floors, stairs, furniture and panels indoors.

This version is pigmented white (colour code 5486). It gives the wood a light, whitened tone, popular on oak floors. According to Ciranova, a coloured oil is then finished with a clear Hardwaxoil Natural or Hardwaxoil Titan. Always test the colour on an offcut first.

Application is easy with a buffing machine, brush or cloth: let it soak in, buff in the excess until the surface feels dry to the touch, and apply a second coat on oak. The oil is only fully cured after about 7 days; do not use water or maintenance products during that time.

For maintenance afterwards, Ciranova recommends Ciranova Parketzeep (floor soap) weekly and Ciranova Maintenance Oil periodically.

How to use it

• Remove all old finish and sand correctly (grits 60-80-100, then sanding screen 100).
• Shake and stir well.
• Apply evenly with a buffing machine, brush or cloth and let it soak in.
• Within a few minutes, buff in the excess with a pad or cloth until the surface feels dry to the touch.
• Apply a second coat on oak.
• No water or maintenance products during the first 7 days.
