About this product
Rectavit Bangkirai & Cedar Cleaner is a powerful cleaner for decking and cladding in hardwoods such as bangkirai, bilinga, padauk, azobe and cedar, both new and weathered. It removes stains, dirt, soil and animal soiling, works deep into the wood and reduces the risk of slipping. It contains no abrasives and does not make the wood porous.
Depending on the dilution you can clean while keeping the grey look, or remove the greying. Afterwards you can give the deck colour and protection again with Rectavit Bangkirai Renovator.
It is an acidic product: it can attack lime-based materials such as marble, bluestone, cement and concrete pavers, as well as powder coating, paint and plants. Cover them during treatment.
How to use it
- Wear gloves. Do not use a pressure washer.
- Lightly soiled, keep the grey: 1 part to 10 parts water, apply and scrub straight away.
- Lightly soiled, remove the grey: 1 part to 3 or 4 parts water, leave 10 to 20 minutes without letting it dry, then scrub.
- Heavily soiled or weathered: neat, leave 20 to 30 minutes, then scrub.
- Rinse thoroughly with a hose or watering can. Let it dry at least 24 hours and sand lightly (grit 150) before protecting.
