Rectavit Teak Cleaner

About this product

Rectavit Teak Cleaner is an extremely concentrated deep cleaner for heavily soiled garden furniture and garden timber in teak and hardwoods such as azobe, iroko, afzelia and meranti. It removes stains and dirt, including organic and animal soiling, contains no acids or abrasives and does not make the wood porous.

Lightly diluted it freshens the wood while keeping the weathered grey look. Neat or half diluted it brings back the original look of the wood.

After cleaning and drying, protect the wood with Rectavit Teak Oil, Teak Renovator or Teak Protector. Do not use on painted, stained, varnished, oiled or waxed wood. It is strongly alkaline: avoid contact with plants, metal, natural stone, glass and powder coating.

How to use it

• Wear gloves and eye protection; do not use metal tools.
• Lightly soiled, keeping the grey look: 100 ml in 8 litres of water. Apply generously and scrub straight away with a stiff brush or scouring pad.
• Heavily soiled: neat or 1:1 with water. Apply generously, leave for approx. 20 minutes without letting it dry and scrub well.
• Rinse thoroughly with a hose or watering can, no pressure washer.
• Let it dry at least 24 hours, sand lightly (grit 150) and then protect.
