About this product
Rectavit Teak Renovator is a penetrating teak-coloured oil for garden furniture and other exterior wood. It gives greyed wood back the typical brown colour of new teak, protects against rain, sun, temperature changes, dirt and stains and prevents premature greying.
The oil soaks into the wood without forming a film: the grain stays visible and the wood can breathe. Suitable for teak, cedar, bangkirai, iroko, azobe, afzelia, acacia, padauk, ipe and other species, on furniture, fences, pergolas, decking, cladding and sheds.
Do not use on wood that has been oiled or waxed. Clean soiled wood first with Rectavit Teak Cleaner. Plan on one maintenance coat per year.
How to use it
- The wood must be clean, dry (max. 18% moisture) and free of dust, grease and wax. Lightly sand new wood; clean soiled wood first with Rectavit Teak Cleaner.
- Stir well, do not thin. Not in frost, damp or foggy weather.
- Apply generously with a soft long-bristle brush, along the grain.
- For good UV protection apply 2 coats, with 8 hours drying in between.
- Let it dry at least 24 hours before it gets rain.
