About this product
Rectavit Teak Oil is based on natural oils, for garden furniture and garden timber in teak and other hardwoods, and also for teak furniture indoors. It nourishes the wood, so it feels warmer and lasts longer, and protects against rain, sun, temperature changes, dirt and stains.
It soaks in without forming a film: the grain stays visible and the wood can breathe. Suitable for new and weathered wood: teak, cedar, bangkirai, iroko, azobe, afzelia, acacia, padauk, ipe and more.
Do not use on painted, stained or varnished wood. To first give greyed teak its brown colour back, use Rectavit Teak Renovator. Clean soiled wood first with Rectavit Teak Cleaner.
How to use it
- The wood must be clean, dry (max. 18% moisture) and free of dust, grease and wax. Lightly sand new wood.
- Do not thin. Not in frost, damp or foggy weather.
- Apply at least 2 generous coats with a brush or cloth along the grain and wipe off the excess with a cloth.
- Let the wood absorb the oil between coats: it must feel dry and not tacky. Sand lightly before the next coat.
