About this product

Rectavit Green Deposit Remover removes and prevents green growth caused by moss, lichen and algae. It works on most surfaces indoors and out: stone, wood, plastic, metal and textile. Think of patios, pavers, tiles and paths, roofs and walls, bangkirai or teak decking, garden furniture, fences and sheds.

The product is ready to use and does most of the work by itself. Rinsing or brushing is allowed but usually not needed: the growth turns brown-yellow and disappears over time with rain and wind, while the product keeps working in the surface. It does not stain and reduces the risk of slipping. It is also a good pre-treatment before painting.

On wood, preferably avoid a pressure washer. A wooden deck that will get a new finish afterwards should be rinsed well.

How to use it

  • First remove thick moss and dirt with a stiff brush or scraper. Disconnect rainwater tanks.
  • Apply neat and generously with a garden sprayer, brush, broom or roller until the surface is soaked; vertical surfaces from bottom to top.
  • For stubborn growth repeat after a few hours.
  • Leave for at least 6 hours. If you paint or finish afterwards, rinse with plenty of water.
  • Use between +5 °C and +25 °C, not in the rain.
